Adidas Y3 trainers are the result of the collaboration between German sportswear manufacturer Adidas and Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto. They first started collaborating in 2002 and have developed a large cult developing since its inception. The name Y3 is derived from the initial of Yamamoto and the legendary three stripes that are featured on every Adidas shoe.
The Y3 trainers line has a more unique and fashion led design than those from the standard Adidas collections of footwear.
